The International Mandolin Society (IMAS) was founded on June 5, 2021, to create a forum for professional and semi-professional mandolinists wishing to network internationally. It aims to provide opportunities for the cross-border exchange of information and experience.
IMAS seeks to shed light on the state of mandolin music in various countries, highlight their unique characteristics, and draw attention to interesting developments. It strives to collect, review, and make available information worthy of documentation. Through the organization of specific events, it aims to focus attention on selected aspects of mandolin music.
Members of the IMAS network have the opportunity to showcase themselves and their areas of activity—along with their contact details—on the society’s website.
The International Mandolin Society is organized as an association under German law, is recognized as a non-profit entity, and is supported by dedicated individuals rather than by associations or federations.
